What is Massage?

Massage is a hands on form of soft tissue release. Massage can be used for pre event, maintenance or post event reasons. The aim of massage is to get deep within the layers of tissues to help break down muscular tension and tightness that could potentially reduce performance, restrict movement or cause injury. Massage is useful during training or as part of a training program as it helps to maintain healthy tissues and upholds the tissues flexibility and range of movement, which is essential in all aspects of exercise of physical activities.
